WHAT IS FRANKINCENSE
Frankincense, also known as olibanum, is made from the resin of the Boswellia tree. frankincense is a hardened gum-like material (resin) that comes from the trunk of the Boswellia tree. People use its oil on the skin and in aromatherapy.
Frankincense oil seems to kill some types of bacteria and fungi (yeasts). It is commonly used as a fragrance in soaps, lotions, and perfumes.
People use frankincense for aging skin, wound healing, and many other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support any use. There is also no good evidence to support using frankincense for COVID-19.
Boswellia tree extracts are also sometimes taken by mouth. For information on taking frankincense by mouth, see Boswellia serrata.

The use of Boswellia resin for spiritual and medicinal purposes dates back to ancient civilizations. Numerous compounds of different chemical categories are identified in the resin; the pharmacological actions of Boswellia resin are attributed to the complementary effects exerted by these compounds. The clinical studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of frankincense resin in some disease conditions like asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, irritable bowel diseases, osteoarthritis, and relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis. The essential oil obtained from the oleogum resin of Boswellia serrata showed antimicrobial activities Also, in vivo studies on animals revealed that Frankincense oleogum resin exhibits neuroprotective activity.

Boswellia Frereana is only found in Somalia where the locals call it Maydi. Frankincense Maydi, also referred to as the king of Frankincense, grows naturally in the wild. Frankincense Maydi is perfectly safe to chew as a gum. This helps fight gum diseases, strengthens teeth

How to use
If using it with a scrub, lotion or cream, add 6-8 drops of oil for every 30ml of the product.
If using the organic essential oil as a fragrance enhancer, add 4-6 drops of oil to an aromatherapy diffuser.
If using it in a bath, add a few drops directly to the bucket/tub.
If using it for a massage, use it with a carrier oil.
In the event of oil getting into the eyes, rinse with plenty of water.
