Coconut meal or copra meal is produced from the ripe fruit (nut) of the coconut palm (Cocos nucifera). The nut is split, and the kernel is removed and dried below 6% moisture. This meal is called copra meal and still contains the oil.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
High levels of copra meal should not be suddenly included in the diet of poultry (even if the diet is nutritionally sound). Introduce copra meal into the diet slowly over time. This will overcome the initial reluctance by stock to eating copra meal.
Copra meal can be used in diets for poultry, cattle, and horses of all ages except very young stock.
The protein in copra meal is low in lysine and histidine. The high fiber level will limit the use of the meal in poultry and cattle feeds.
White copra is made from fresh matured coconuts, processed and dried using kukum dryer with in direct heating system. Color of copra is dull white and light brown, clean, no dust and not contaminated with fungus, or other harardous material for human or animal health. Moisture contains is 6%-7%.
Dried White Copra is processed from fresh mature coconut, hygienically processed using indirect heating system without smoke, not infected by insect, fungus and other hazardous material.
Hygienic Dried Copra Meal is a hygienic by products from PCO processing which is very good for animal nutrition ingredients food as it contains of -+10% coconut oil and protein, especially used for dairy milk cow.
Copra is the dried flesh of coconuts. Every adult coconut tree bears 50-75 nuts that can be harvested, split with machetes and left to dry in the sun. The copra is then scraped out of the husk and gets to dry further on racks. Finally, it is packed in jute bags and transported to a processing facility.
