Glycol Ether DB is an outstanding solvent and coupling agent that acts by itself or in combination with surfactants to lower the surface tension of cleaning solutions in household and industrial cleaners. It has an alcohol component to dissolve water-soluble soils and an ether part to dissolve oil-soluble soils. It is used as a diluent and solvent in resins, polymers, paints, coatings, silk screen printing inks, pen inks, textile dyeing, printing, oils, nitrocellulose, gums, dyes, and soaps. It is used as a coalescing agent in latex paints and as a coupling agent in disinfectants, hard surface cleaners, rust removers, and water-based printing inks. Packaged hydrogen chloride (HCl) is used in a range of industries and applications including:
Chemicals: To promote and regenerate catalysts in the petrochemical industry and to add viscosity to oils.
