Scope
Saybolt colorimeter can measure refined petroleum products, including a set of matching samples and equipped with optical indicator of standard tube. In the same light source sample with standard color comparison. Reduce the liquid column height of the sample until the sample was significantly lighter than the standard palette of colors, and use the chart on the instrument to convert saybolt color of height. Three standard color glass on - position color standard pipe may conveniently be replaced swatches.
After paraffin saybolt colorimeter is equipped with a heater for the determination of paraffin, during the test, it is not flowing like melted wax. Sample tube has a 200w chrome steel strip heater, with a hinged lid to maintain the heat evenly. Aluminum heater with a 50w fuel element is kept molten wax-like state. Affiliated variable transformer can be used to regulate the temperature of the sample. Optical observation instrument and shelves are fully insulated with a heater. Test tube assembly with a heat-resistant fiber handle.
