Chemical properties: Pale yellow liquid. Relative density: 0.8860-0.9080, refractive index: 1.4560-1.4650, specific rotation: -18--32. It has the aroma of mint grass, but less cool taste. Same uses as peppermint oil. Mainly used in oral hygiene products such as toothpaste and tooth powder, and in some medicines as a cooling, wind-repellent, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and stimulant agent. It can also be used in aftershave products, certain cosmetics, tobacco and food Chemicalbook. Uses: Used in flavors, and as a stimulant in medicine. GB2760-96 stipulates that it is a permitted edible flavor. It is mainly used to prepare water-soluble mint flavor (about 10% usage) and oil-soluble mint flavor (up to 38% usage), or directly added to refreshing beverages, wine, gum, bubble gum (up to 6% usage), etc. Uses: Often used in combination with peppermint oil in toothpaste, candy, wine, and tobacco mouthwash.
