PSC-SSS-LT Infrared Temperature Sensor Description
The PSC-SSS IR temperature sensor series is a highly versatile low cost solution for reliable temperature measurement. It features a temperature range of -50 to 1800'C which is fully scalable by an operator via programming keys, or by use of the included, no cost PSC Connect software. Other IR sensor parameter adjustments include peak picking, valley hold, average, and extended hold function with threshold and hysteresis.
The sensor head can be installed in higher ambient temperature, and a full line of rugged industrial accessories is available for its protection and optimum operation. Its small size facilitates temperature measurement in not easily accessible areas and simplifies integration into existing manufacturing systems. All PSC-SSS Sensors feature a choice of outputs including 4 to 20 mA, thermocouple, and linear voltage. Optional digital outputs include USB, RS-232, RS-485, CAN, Profibus DP and Ethernet. Programmable functional inputs for external emissivity adjustment, ambient temperature compensation and trigger reset of hold functions are provided.

Introduction
The Smartec infrared sensor type SMTIR9902SIL is a standard Smartec SMTIR9902 sensor equipped with a silicon lens for measuring radiation temperatures within a small angle of view (7.27'). The SMTIR9902SIL contains a NI1000 temperature sensor for measuring the temperature of the sensor itself. The temperature range of this internal sensor is -20 to 100 'C. The sensor is mounted in a modified TO-05 encapsulation.
Description
TSEV01CL55 is a contact-less temperature measuring system for OEM use based on the detection of infrared radiation.
TSEV01CL55 is equipped with an infrared sensor (Thermopile) in front. The Thermopile Sensor has to be pointed at the target object of interest.
The basic working principle is:
Detection of infrared radiation with a Thermopile sensor, which turns incoming radiation to an analogue voltage
Determination of sensor temperature using a thermistor
Further analogue signal processing and conditioning
Calculation of ambient and object temperature using a processing unit
Providing the ambient and objects temperature at digital output bus (I2C)
The TSEV01CL55 is suitable for a wide range of application where non-contact
The TSEV01CL55 is equipped with a silicon lens (back focal length = 5.5mm) to narrow the field of view.
I2C pull-up resistors are provided on the sensor.
The I2C interface does not block the clock for clock-stretching.
