LOX-02-F LuminOx Flow-through Optical Oxygen Sensor General Description
The LuminOx Flow-Through Optical Oxygen Sensor Allows For A Clean Gas Sample Stream Directly Into The Sensor Which Can Be Completely Removed From The Process Environment.
The LuminOx Flow-through Optical Oxygen Sensor is developed and manufactured by SST, it is part of the LuminOx family, which is a range of factory calibrated oxygen sensors which measure ambient oxygen levels using the principle of fluorescence quenching by oxygen, also known as luminescence quenching.

The LuminOx Flow-through Optical Oxygen Sensor (LOX-02-F) is an extension to the standard range of LuminOx oxygen sensors. The original LOX-02 sensor was designed to be completely immersed in the sample gas environment as the base of the sensor is not gas-tight.

The flow-through housing style is sealed on the base which allows for a clean gas sample stream into the sensor which can be completely removed from the process environment. A flow-through housing allows for better sample gas management and options in terms of where the sensor can be situated.

The patented technology allows SST to produce a range of sensors that are based on a non-depleting operating principle. This can contribute to the LuminOx sensors having a comparably longer lifetime that other competitor technologies, such as galvanic sensors, for similar applications.

LOX-02-F LuminOx Flow-through Optical Oxygen Sensor Features
* Luminescence-based optical technology, NOT electrochemical
* Contains no hazardous materials; RoHS & REACH compliant
* Connects directly to a microcontroller without any additional circuitry
* Factory calibrated
* High accuracy, fast response
* Maintenance free

LOX-02-F LuminOx Flow-through Optical Oxygen Sensor Benefits
* Compact, flow-through housing with sealed base
* Low power, long life due to non-depleting sensing principle
* Low cos

The luminox family is a range of factory calibrated optical sensors which measure ambient o2 levels using the principle of fluorescence quenching by oxygen.

Our unique patented process allows us to produce an oxygen sensor that benefits from low power, traditionally associated with electrochemical sensing devices, while providing a much longer lifetime due to the non-depleting sensing principle.
* low drift
* rohs compliant
* extended temperature range compared to electrochemical sensing devices
* low in cost
* factory calibrated
* measures temperature and pressure (if selected)
* small and compact
* maintenance free

Luminox unlike other sensor technologies is stable and robust, it is rohs compliant as it does not contain lead or any other hazardous materials and has negligible cross sensitivity.

Luminox can be purchased as a single optical sensor, or as part as an evaluation kit which includes the luminox sensor evaluation interface board, which was designed to allow customers to easily evaluate the sensor with minimum effort or design work.

Typical applications for the luminox optical oxygen sensor are;
* oxygen detection
* portable equipment
* breathing apparatus
* inerting
* medical
* lab equipment
* agriculture

LOX-02-S LuminOx Sealed Optical Oxygen Sensor General Description
The LuminOx Sealed Optical Oxygen Sensor Range Offers Users With Application Requirements To Only Measure Sample Gas At The Front Face Of The Sensor.

The LuminOx Sealed Optical Oxygen Sensor is developed and manufactured by SST, it is part of the LuminOx family, which is a range of factory calibrated oxygen sensors which measure ambient oxygen levels using the principle of luminescence quenching.

The LuminOx Sealed Optical Oxygen Sensor (LOX-02-S) is an extension to the standard range of LuminOx oxygen sensors. It is a similar diffusion type sensor like the original LOX-02 sensor. However, the LOX-02-S has a sealed base that is gas-tight, meaning only the face of the sensor with the protective membrane needs to be in the sample gas environment, externally leaving easy access to the pins of the sensor.

LOX-02-S LuminOx Sealed Optical Oxygen Sensor Features
* Luminescence-based optical technology, NOT electrochemical
* Contains no hazardous materials; RoHS & REACH compliant
* Connects directly to a microcontroller without any additional circuitry

1.General description
The luminox family (lox) is a range of factory calibrated oxygen sensors which measure ambient oxygen partial pressure (ppo2) levels using the principle of fluorescence quenching by oxygen.
By default luminox measures ppo2 (mbar) and temperature (°c). An optional pressure sensor enables luminox to also measure barometric pressure (mbar) and to convert the ppo2 reading to an oxygen concentration (o2%).
The sensor benefits from low power operation, traditionally associated with electrochemical sensors, while providing a much longer lifetime due to the non-depleting sensing principle.
Luminox is ppo2 and temperature compensated, enabling accurate operation over a wide environmental range without the need for additional system components. Unlike other sensor technologies, luminox is very stable and robust, does not contain lead or any other
Hazardous materials and has negligible cross sensitivity to other gases.

2.Cleaning
The housing of the sensor can be cleaned using a damp cloth. The sensor should not be immersed in any cleaning media.
Full application and technical support can be provided by our knowledgable and highly experienced engineering team if required.

3.Benefits
-low power
-can also measure o2% & barometric pressure (lox-02)
-suitable for battery power use
