The chemical composition of Hastelloy N typically includes 65-70% nickel, 4.0-6.0% molybdenum, 2.0-4.0% iron, 1.0-3.0% chromium, and 1.0-3.0% cobalt. These elements work together to provide a combination of strength and corrosion resistance, making Hastelloy N suitable for use in harsh environments.
In terms of mechanical properties, Hastelloy N has a minimum tensile strength of 690 MPa, a minimum yield strength of 310 MPa, and a minimum elongation of 40%. Its hardness, as measured by the Brinell hardness scale (HB), is typically no greater than 241. These properties make it a reliable and durable material for use in various applications.

Hastelloy G-30 is a high chromium nickel-base alloy which has superior corrosion resistance over most other nickel and iron-base alloys in commercial phosphoric acid as well as many complex environments containing highly oxidizing acids such as nitric/hydrochloric, nitric/hydrofluoric and sulfuric acids. It has good resistance to localized corrosion and to both reducing and oxidizing aqueous media.
