Soybean meal is the most important protein source used to feed farm animals. Its feeding value is unsurpassed by any other plant protein source and it is the standard to which other protein sources are compared.
Soybean meal is the by-product of the extraction of soybean oil. Several processes exist, resulting in different products. Soybean meal is usually classified for marketing by its crude protein content. There are two main categories of soybean meal, the high-protein soybean meal with 47-49% protein and 3% crude fiber, obtained from dehulled seeds, and the conventional soybean meal, with 43-44% protein, that contain the hulls. In solvent-extracted soybean meals, the oil content is typically lower than 2% while it exceeds 3% in mechanically-extracted meals.
Soybean meal is heat-treated during production, to denature the trypsin inhibitors of soybeans, which would otherwise interfere with protein digestions. Soybean mean is used for animal feeds, principally as a protein supplement, but also as a source of metabolizable energy. For instance, for rapidly growing lambs on low-protein feeds, soybean meal can be an important supplement to ensure adequate protein intake, and partly because of its palatability, soybean meal is often recommended for use in starter rations when creep feeding lambs.

Coriander also known as cilantro or Chinese parsley, is an annual herb in the family Apiaceae. All parts of the plant are edible, but the fresh leaves and the dried seeds are the parts most traditionally used in cooking.
Anise also called aniseed, is a flowering plant in the family Apiaceae native to the eastern Mediterranean region and Southwest Asia.Anise is sweet and very aromatic, distinguished by its characteristic flavour. The seeds, whole or ground, are used for preparation of teas and tisanes (alone or in combination with other aromatic herbs). The main use of anise was for its carminative effect (reducing flatulence).
Alfalfa, also called lucerne, is a perennial flowering plant in the legume family Fabaceae. It is cultivated as an important forage crop in many countries around the world. It is used for grazing, hay, and silage, as well as a green manure and cover crop. The name alfalfa is used in North America.
Alfalfa hay is an excellent source of energy, protein, calcium, and some other nutrients for horses. Its concentrations of protein and calcium meet the nutrient needs of horses in high levels of production, such as growth and lactation, but exceed the nutrient requirements of horses in other life stages.
Used widely in animal feed, it is able to provide a nutrient-rich source in commercial animal production.

Place the Seeding Disk in a tray and water gently with lukewarm water to expand the Seeding Disk. The coco substrate will be kept in shape by the thin net. Pour off all excess water carefully.
The seedling hole is on the top of the pellet, add one or more seeds and cover lightly with the substrate of the pellet. Seedlings or cuttings should be planted by using a dibble.
Place them in a bright and warm location such as on the windowsill. As soon as the seed has germinated lift the cover. Keep the coir pellets moist during germination, but avoid moisture build-up as this could rot the roots.
When the roots are growing through the net, transplant the Seeding Disk into a larger container or directly in the garden. Water in advance.
Please do not try to separate the net this will damage the roots. This net is a biodegradable net.

One of the main benefits of coir twine is that it's all-natural. For growers, this can be very attractive because, unlike other gardening materials, it won¢??t leach chemicals into the surrounding soil.
Coir twine is not only natural but can also be composted after you're done using it for the season. This helps eliminate unnecessary waste and is a greener option than many other twines on the market.
Even though it¢??s all-natural and compostable, coir twine is still very durable and can withstand almost anything the environment throws at it during a growing season. The thicker the strand, the longer it can last.
Another benefit is that coir twine is often more affordable than other natural twines, such as sisal or hemp. You can usually purchase thicker strands of coir twine for less than other natural twines to help lower your costs.
Lastly, gardeners and producers can use coir twine in a variety of ways. Hops growers can use it to support their crops. Floor mat manufacturers can use it to make highly durable and natural floor coverings. Some even use coir twine as fencing material to keep pests out of their gardens, rather than opting for an electric fence or a pesticide.
Mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana), also known asthe purple mangosteen, is a tropical evergreen tree with edible fruit native to tropical lands surrounding the Indian Ocean.
Its origin is uncertain due to widespread prehistoric cultivation. It grows mainly in Southeast Asia, Southwest India and other tropical areas such as Colombia and Puerto Rico, where the tree has been introduced.
In each fruit, the fragrant edible flesh that surrounds each seed is botanically endocarp, i.e., the inner layer of the ovary. The seeds are of similar size and shape to almonds.
Mangosteen has been used to treat skin infections and diarrhea. Recent scientific studies suggest that mangosteen possesses strong antioxidant, anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-microbial, and antimalarial properties.

The snow pea is an edible-pod pea with flat pods and thin pod walls. It is eaten whole, with both the seeds and the pod, while still unripened. Snow peas are a crunchy and delicious vegetable. While they can be eaten raw, they take just minutes to cook.
The name "snow peas" may come from the vegetable's ability to withstand frost. They're generally planted no earlier in the spring than other pea varieties, and some gardeners keep them growing through autumn. Another theory behind the name refers to its white appearance in bright light.
Snow peas can be grown in open fields during cool seasons and can thus be cultivated during winter and spring seasons. Storage of the pea with films of polymethyl pentene at a temperature of 5 C and a concentration of oxygen and carbon dioxide of 5 kPa augments the shelf life, and internal and external characteristics of the plant.
