The GAR 5800 coal grade is also known as ICI 2 and typically has a Net As Received (NAR) calorific value of 5500 kcal/kg. S&P Global's Platts, which launched a daily price assessment for this grade, notes typical specifications including:
Gross Calorific Value (GAR): 5,800 kcal/kg (range 5,600-5,800 kcal/kg)
Net As Received (NAR): 5,500 kcal/kg
Total Moisture (arb): Typically 15%, within a range of 15%-18%
Ash Content (adb): Typically 8%, within a range of 8%-10% (some sources list max 19%)
Total Sulfur (adb): Typically 0.8%, within a range of 0.8%-1%
Volatile Matter (adb): Approximately 43%
Hardgrove Grindability Index (HGI): Typically 45-60
The Indonesia Miner Owner is doing only FOB and the coal selling price is to be determined on the day of signing the Sales and Purchase contract as the price is fluctuating too much (negotiable based on the ICI index of the week) and it will be not fair for buyer or supplier if we peg the price now.
Please indicate the Grade and Specification in the LOI, the Seller can produce of coal on various grades as per buyer requirement, documents related of the mine/coal will send to you for reference when receiving LOI
