The Sorrento Lemon (IGP) is distinguished by its cultivation method: the trees grow under traditional pergolas. This technique delays ripening and protects the fruit from direct sunlight and wind, resulting in an edible rind that is exceptionally rich in essential oils and possesses a unique aromatic complexity:

The Method: Pergola cultivation reduces the yield per tree but increases the concentration of citrals (neral + geranial), as demonstrated by GC-MS analyses showing citral levels >2.5% which justifies a 20% higher oil value compared to the market average. Recognizing the value of this essential oil means helping to safeguard the future of the fruit itself, the dedicated producers, and a centuries-old heritage. This is priceless and adds value to any subsequent product incorporating this ingredient;

Volcanic Origin: The soil of the Sorrento Peninsula imparts mineral notes and a persistence lacking in synthetic or low-quality oils. This soil composition is monitored through analysis to formulate custom-designed fertilizers.
