Prosthetic Leg Knee Joint
The function of the prosthetic leg knee joint is to simulate the flexion and extension (bending and straightening) of the anatomical knee joint during the movement of the amputee. When used in conjunction with a prosthetic foot, the knee supports the amputee while providing a smooth and economical gait.

The amputee relies on the prosthetic knee for stability during ambulation. In order to provide stability, the knee needs to remain stable or locked during walking.

Many variations of the basic joint have been designed; from a simple hinge to a self-aware, computer-controlled knee. Clinical prosthetists are trained to understand the different types of knees. Their expertise is critical in assisting amputees and their caregivers in deciding which knee will maximize the amputee's potential.

The main function of prosthetic leg knee joint is to help the amputee to simulate the bending and extension of the knee joint when moving. At the same time, when the prosthetic foot is used in conjunction, the knee plays a role to achieve a smooth and relaxed gait.

Mechanical Knees

The feature of Mechanical Knees is to help provide standing bending, reduce the pressure on the back and buttocks through the knee joints, and make the gait cycle smoother.

Pneumatic Knee

Pneumatic knee uses the air in the knee to adjust the walking speed, and as the speed increases or decreases, the pneumatic system will adjust the speed of swinging forward or bending backwards. Such knees are more active for amputees. They can Change the walking speed on your own and donâ??t need a walking device.

Prosthetic knee joints offer several advantages for individuals who have undergone lower limb amputations. These advantages can significantly improve the overall quality of life and mobility for amputees.

Drop Lock Knee Joint
A "drop lock knee joint" often used in orthopedic devices or prosthetics. This mechanism allows the knee joint to be locked in a fully extended (straight) position to provide stability and support, preventing unintentional bending of the knee. When the joint is "dropped" into the locked position, it immobilizes the knee at that angle until it is manually released.

Function
The function of a "drop lock knee joint" is to provide stability and control to the knee joint in situations where immobilization or limited movement is required. This mechanism allows the knee to be locked in a fully extended (straight) position, preventing unintentional bending or flexing of the knee. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals who need to keep their knee straight for medical reasons, such as during post-surgery recovery or when wearing a knee brace or prosthetic limb.

The mechanism works by allowing the user to engage or "drop" the lock, which securely holds the knee joint in the extended position. This can help prevent unwanted movement that might otherwise cause discomfort or hinder the healing process. When the user needs to resume normal movement, they can disengage the lock, allowing the knee to bend freely.

In summary, the primary function of a drop lock knee joint is to offer stability, support, and controlled immobilization of the knee joint when necessary, aiding individuals in managing their knee-related conditions or recovery processes.

Prosthetic Pneumatic Knee Joint
This multi-centered prosthetic knee joint with pneumatic swing phase control provides reliable standing phase safety for users with moderate activity levels.
The smooth and powerful single-chamber pneumatics (each chamber for flexion and extension damping) does not run out of air during the swing phase, even at different walking speeds. Smooth flexion and extension movements can be achieved, resulting in an approximation of the physiological gait pattern. The joint geometry here effectively shortens the prosthesis during oscillation, thereby increasing ground clearance.
Four-bar pneumatic knee joint is made of aviation grade ultra-light, super-hard magnesium alloy material, with beautiful appearance. The weight was 0.95kg, the maximum load was 125kg, and the knee flexion was 150 degrees.

It adopts the four-bar linkage air pressure design, stable and natural walking, more light, mor durable, less energy consumption, easy control.
