Merbau is native to Southeast Asia. This species is most well known for its durability and fire resistance and therefore is used in outdoor engineering works and marine applications. Merbau is also extremely common in decking applications and furniture. We sell merbau is 19 x 90 and 19 x 140 cuts as well as dressed all round merbau and finger jointed material.
We are also one of the few merbau sellers who sell our stocks in set lengths as opposed to random which enables our customers to pick out their preferred lengths.

Has been used for aeroplane propellers, coach, vehicle and carriage building, draughtsman´s implements, gunstocks, musical instruments (piano parts, guitar necks, backs, sides and headstock) and walking sticks. Was used to some extent in general building framing in the early 1900´s,and more commonly in flooring,lining mouldings and joinery, but use in such applications has been very infrequent for some decades due to the demand for furniture timber and tightly controlled logging.

The heartwood is pink to brownish pink, tan- red, brown to midbrown, straw through to honey while the narrow sapwood band is, coloured white to pale grey. The lustrous sheen of the heartwood, makes for a distinctive timber. The grain is somewhat interlocked,, often wavy or curly, and the texture medium and uniform. It exhibits, a wide variety of figures including ribbon grain resulting from layers, of interlocking grain, fiddle back and ripple caused by sudden dips, in the growth rings. Some quarter sawn boards show various types, of figure such as waterwave, rib and birdseye. It is regarded as one, of the finest cabinet woods in the world., â??Birdseyeâ?? - Areas of dark coloured soft tissue, giving dressed, surfaces a dimpled appearance, caused by attack to the living, tree by an insect restricted to this species. This feature, though, not particularly common in wood marketed for furniture or highvalue decorative uses, is a feature for distinguishing wood of F., brayleyana from otherwise very similar wood of F. pimenteliana, (maple silkwood)

Quantity: Quantity of 180,000 M T (One Hundred Eighty Thousand MT) (5% +/-) in Six months, and a monthly shipment of 30,000 MT (5% +/-). The total quantity will be split into 6 months and will be delivered on FOB terms at Port Sudan, North Sudan.

Price: The price of each Metric Ton of Scrap Oil pipes will be in USD. The Price calculation shall be $425 .00 per metric ton with FOB terms.

Payment: In order to reserve the contract quantity, the Buyer shall issue an Irrevocable, Confirmed, Auto Reinstate, Documentary Letter of Credit for the value of one months shipment, which is equivalent to the monthly value of 30,000 Metric Tons to the Seller's nominated bank account. The Buyer's bank will remit the invoice amount by TT to the Seller's nominated bank account within 72 hours of submitting shipping documents as mentioned below.

Documents required: Seller shall present the following documents to the Buyer's for settlement:

a. Signed Commercial Invoice indicating Contract Number, Number of LC, Vessel's Name, Quantity, and the total Amount of Value of the delivered Commodity, - three (3) Originals and Four (4) Copies.

b. Packing List: Showing Total Weight, Contract Number and DLC Number- Two (2) Original and Four (4) copies.

c. Certificates of Quality issued by SGS - Three (3) originals and Three (3) copies.

d. Certificate of Origin issued by Chamber of Commerce One (1) original and (2) copies.

Information: The Seller shall update the Buyer about the preparations of the shipment and provide the Buyer with all related details to confirm supply and documents regarding the shipment.

Note: Oil pipes are only sold as pipes. If the buyer is required to cut according to scrap standards, they will be charged an additional fee. This proposal does not include any cost-cutting processes.
