THF is an important organic synthetic raw material and a solvent with excellent performance. It is especially suitable for dissolving PVC, polyvinylidene chloride and butyl aniline. It is widely used as a solvent for surface coatings, anticorrosive coatings, printing inks, tape and film coatings, and used in combination. As a reaction solvent, the thickness and brightness of the aluminum layer can be arbitrarily controlled when used in the aluminum electroplating solution. THF itself can be polycondensed (ring-opening and repolymerization initiated by cations) into polytetramethylene ether glycol (PTMEG), also known as tetrahydrofuran homopolyether. PTMEG and toluene diisocyanate (TDI) are made into special rubbers with abrasion resistance, oil resistance, good low temperature performance and high strength; with dimethyl terephthalate and 1,4-butanediol to make block polyether polyester elastic Material.
Sebacic acid has a wide range of uses, mainly used to prepare sebacic acid esters, such as dibutyl sebacate, dioctyl sebacate and Diisooctyl sebacate. These esters can be used as plasticizers for plastics, cold resistant rubber, polyamide, polyurethane, alkyd resin, synthetic lubricating oil, lubricating oil additives, spices, coatings, cosmetics, etc. It can also be used as raw material for the production of nylon 1010, nylon 910, nylon 810, nylon 610 and nylon 9, and as raw material for high temperature resistant lubricating oil diethylhexyl ester. Sunflower seeds
The sunflower seed is the fruit of the sunflower (Helianthus annuus). The term "sunflower seed" is actually a misnomer when applied to the seed in its pericarp hulls. Botanically speaking, it is a cypsela. When dehulled, the edible remainder is called the sunflower kernel or heart.
It is a tall, erect, herbaceous annual plant belonging to the family of Asteraceae, in the genus, Helianthus. Its botanical name is Helianthus annuus. It is native to Middle American region from where it spread as an important commercial crop all over the world through the European explorers. Today, Russian Union, China, USA, and Argentina are the leading producers of sunflower crop.
It produces grayish-green or black seeds encased in tear-dropped shaped gray or black shells that oftentimes feature black and white stripes. Since these seeds have a very high oil content, they are one of the main sources used to produce polyunsaturated oil. Shelled sunflower seeds have a mild nutty taste and firm, but tender texture. Their taste is oftentimes compared with the Jerusalem artichoke (not to be confused with the bulb artichoke), another member of theHelianthus family.
