Eco-friendly liquid pigment color dispersion for water based system coloring
When the technical personnel is working for coatings formulation, if different colors needed, the technical personnel will do it in two ways:
No.1, adding solid pigment powder into coatings formulation, pigment powder and coatings materials will be grinded together during the beginning production of coatings;
No.2, producing colorless coatings first, then accurately adding pre-dispersed super concentrated water based pigment paste according to the customer's requirement. It can help customer prepare precise colors for coatings products.
The application range of coatings products is very extensive, such as clothes pigment printing, textile pigment dyeing, building interior and exterior paints coloring, daily necessities tinting, wood furniture coating, metal surface coating and so on.
Coatings technical personnels usually select different kinds resin adhesive, dispersion agents and other auxiliaries according to the different coatings applications.Also they will choose solid pigment powder or dispersed pigment color paste for different coloring processes.
Now i have to make a detailed description of water based pigment paste. Water based pigment paste is one kind of pre-dispersed coloring products, which is made by pigment particles, surfactants and water. If more specific, it is that pigment powder is changed from bigger particles to uniformly fine particles (particle size is generally a few microns or smaller nanometer), pigment paste can show the best performance of coloring strength because of enough fine particles. And these surfactants in water would uniformly wrap each small particle during the dispersing and grinding process, to avoid particles regrouping, and form a very uniform and stable aqueous dispersion system. So water based pigment paste is also called pigment pre-dispersed products (pigment dispersion).
