Kaolin or china clay is a commercial clay composed principally of the hydrated aluminosilicate clay mineral kaolinite The commercial value of kaolin is based on the minerals whiteness and its fine controllable particle size
Kaolin has a range of industrial applications grouped into three main market areas Paper ceramics and specialty minerals
With our warehouses in Port Harcourt and Lagos we are positioned to effectively supply 2000-5000tons of Kaolin monthly
China Clay - Calcined Clay, Levigated Kaolin, Refractory Clay.
Kaolin (China Clay)
Kaolin is white, soft, plastic clay mainly composed of fine-grained plate-like particles. Kaolin is formed when the anhydrous aluminum silicates which are found in feldspar rich rocks, like granite, are altered by weathering or hydrothermal process
Quality of china clay varies from mine to mine in many physical aspects, which in turn influence their end use. Of particular commercial interest is the degree of crystallinity which influences the brightness, whiteness, opacity, gloss, film strength, and viscosity.
BizWhite has been mining, processing, and supplying high quality Kaolin products, from its reserves in Gujarat.
On recognising the high demand for this multi-usage mineral and also the shortages of high-quality kaolin, we have positioned ourselves as one of the overriding kaolin china clay manufacturers and exporters from India.
Our Kaolin clay products are immensely used in the manufacturing of ceramics, papers, colours, vitrified tiles, soap, ultramarine, and various other purposes. Translucent quality, greater strength, and bright white appearance are the unique features of our Kaolin clay lumps.
We have our Kaolin Clay available in lumps, noodles and powder form.
China Clay is a naturally hydrated Aluminum Silicate. It is one of the most abundantly available clay in the Earth scrust. Pure grade of China clay or kaolin clay
produce by the processes of levigating. China Clay is also called â??KAOLINâ??, it is one of
the essential Raw materials for Ceramic Industries, China Clay does not swell on
adding water & Alumina present in Clay do not form Isomorphism series with any
other metallic compound.

Kaolin is a hydrated aluminium silicate crystalline mineral formed over many millions of years by the hydrothermal decomposition of granite rocks. It is a white soft mineral composed primarily Kaolinite mineral having chemical composition of Al2O3.2SiO2.2H2O with minor amounts of quartz, feldspar and sheet silicate minerals (mica, illite, smectite).
Hard and soft clays are characterized by its fine particle size, platy or lamellar particle shape and chemically inertness. Clays having fine particle size are described as hard clay. Phyllosilicates being a sub group of silicate minerals that has typically less than 2um in diameter. The combination of platy shape and fine particle size results in improved processibility, improved reinforcement, tensile strength, abrasion and tera strength.
After mining the above mineral ore is dressed, dried, pulverized, air-floated, water washed (levitated), calcined and surface modified. As per the application the grades are selected by the end user.
The processing techniques at PEEKAY MINERALS ensures consistent quality, control of top-cut and average particle size and freedom from impurities at pocket friendly costs.
Application & Features:
Ceramics:
China Clay is an essential constituent in Ceramics. It is used by almost manufacturer worldwide in Electrical porcelain, Fine China & dinnerware, Floor and Wall Tile, Roof Tile, Pottery, Sanitary ware, Tableware and other engineering products. The properties important for the use of China Clay in Ceramics are Plastic Properties, Drying properties, Firing properties, Firing Color, Electrical properties such as conductivity, dielectric content etc.
Our clay permits product to be easily deformed under stress without rupturing and retains shape produced when stress is removed. Due to low water of plasticity, it does not require intense forming pressure to withstand handling/drying and the Green Strength is better. The Firing properties are excellent to produce super white finish. The processed clay is free from grits and all metallic impurities. The particle size is very low and even which keeps drying shrinkage in desired parameters.

Modern life would be impossible without minerals. They are used in the production of everything from paint to cosmetics, water treatment to sound proofing, concrete to ceramics. AMTC supplies minerals for every conceivable application.
In AMTC we are engaged in processing of Calcined Kaolin namely for porcelain industry, sanitary ceramics, ceramic tiles, refractories, iron & steel, chemistry and further applications.
Calcined Kaolin is an anhydrous aluminium silicate produced by heating ultrafine natural kaolin to high temperatures in a kiln. The calcination process increases whiteness and hardness, improves electrical properties, and alters the size and shape of the kaolin particles.
