To dtermine the variation of magnetic field along the axis of a coil, a circular non magnetic frame has copper wire wound on it. The ends of wire are connected to terminals on wooden board.
Aluminium rods are graduated upto 50 cm on both sides. A permanent magnet compass siting on a non magnetic platform travels on alumimium rod.
