Sri Lanka Handicraft Board, popularly known as LAKSALA which is the only State owned Gift & Souvenir Boutique has been promoting the sale of local handicrafts since 1964. They are known for their innovative designs and unique range of products offered at their 12 showrooms located island wide.

LAKSALA has been providing a specific market to traditional craftsmen to market their products under one roof by following the National Crafts Council and Allied Institutions Act.

LAKSALA range of items as at today exceed 50,000 in number. These consist of handicraft, handloom, apparel, batik, tea, coffee, beverages, spices, organic

products, herbal products, hela osu, cosmetics, silverware, brass & burntbrass, gems & jewellery etc. Each item is checked properly for its quality before t goes to the shelves.
