What is Vermiculite?

Vermiculite is a hydrated magnesium aluminum sheet silicate mineral closely related to mica, and has all of the thermal and chemical resistance mica is known for. When subjected to heat, vermiculite expands and forms particles that are revered for being:

Silica fume is available from suppliers of concrete admixtures and, when specified, is simply added during concrete production. Placing, finishing, and curing silica-fume concrete require special attention on the part of the concrete contractor.

Silica fume consists primarily of amorphous (non-crystalline) silicon dioxide (SiO2). It can be use for oil well drilling purpose .
