$239.62 - $450 / Metric Ton (EXW)
MOQ: Not Specified
Supplier From Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Malaysia
 Inquire Now
LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) specifications refer to the required characteristics of the fuel to ensure it can be safely and efficiently transported, stored, and used. These specifications cover its physical and chemical properties, including composition, heating value, density, and purity. They also address the presence of impurities and contaminants that could negatively impact equipment or processes.

1. Chemical Composition:
Primary Component:
LNG is primarily composed of methane (typically 85-97% by volume).
Other Hydrocarbons:
It also contains varying amounts of ethane, propane, butane, and heavier hydrocarbons.
Impurities:
Specifications limit the presence of impurities like nitrogen, carbon dioxide, sulfur compounds, and water.
Specific Limits:
Detailed limits are often set for individual components, such as maximums for ethane, propane, and butanes.

2. Physical Properties:
Heating Value:
LNG has a high heating value (typically around 50 MJ/kg or 21,500 BTU/lb), which is a measure of the energy content.
Density:
The density of LNG is roughly 0.41 to 0.5 kg/litre, significantly less than water.
Temperature:
LNG is maintained at a very low temperature (-162 C or -260 F) to keep it in its liquid state.
Pressure:
LNG is stored and transported under low pressure, but some pressure specifications may apply.

Liquefied Natural Gas (Lng) Export Grade, A

$500 - $550 / Metric Ton (CIF)
MOQ: 50,000  Metric Tonnes
Supplier From Asaba, Delta, Nigeria
 Inquire Now
LNG stands for Liquefied Natural Gas.

It is natural gas (mainly methane) that has been cooled to about 162C (-260F), turning it into a liquid. This reduces its volume by approximately 600 times, making it much easier and more economical to transport by ship over long distances. It's just natural gas that got shrunk so we can ship it across oceans.

Natural gas pipelines don0t reach everywhere, LNG solves that. Gas is cooled to -162C, shrinks 600x, then shipped it in special tankers. At destination, LNG is regasify back to gas for pipelines/power plants.

How LNG is Produced
1. Natural gas is extracted from gas fields.
2. Impurities such as water, carbon dioxide, and sulfur are removed.
3. The gas is cooled to 162C. At that temperature, methane turns liquid.
4. It becomes a clear, odorless liquid called LNG.
5. Load or pump into those huge white spheres as seen in the pictures I attached.

Common Uses of LNG
Power generation
Industrial fuel
Residential heating and cooking
Marine fuel for ships
Feedstock for petrochemical industries

Property Details.
Natural gas = 90-95% methane CH4, cooled to liquid.
Temp -162C at 1 atm pressure. That's colder than Antarctica.
Volume** Gas liquid shrinks 600x. 600m³ gas becomes 1m³ liquid.
Look: Clear, colorless liquid. Like water but super cold.
Smell: Odorless, colorless Odorless, but mercaptan added for leaks.
Use: Power plants, factories, cooking gas after regasification.
Safety: LNG liquid causes severe cold burns. It's not flammable as liquid - only the gas vapor burns.

Canot put LNG in a glass jar for a photo - it had boil instantly at 25C. It needs cryogenic dewar flasks.

LNG vs LPG
Feature LNG LPG
Full Name Liquefied Natural Gas Liquefied Petroleum Gas
Main Component Methane Propane & Butane
Storage Temperature About -162C Ambient temperature under pressure
Source Natural gas fields Crude oil refining & natural gas processing
Transportation Cryogenic tanks and LNG carriers Pressurized cylinders and LPG tankers
Typical Use Power plants, industries, export Cooking gas, heating, autogas

Big difference from LPG is: LNG is mostly methane CH4 85-95%. LPG is propane/butane.

LNG in International Trade.
Major LNG exporters include countries such as Qatar, United States, and Australia. LNG is transported globally by specialized LNG carriers to importing countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa.
For oil and gas trading, LNG is a major commodity traded under long-term contracts as well as spot cargo agreements, similar to crude oil and LPG.

Virgin Oil D6, also known as residual fuel oil, is a petroleum product that is obtained from the refining process. It has a high density and a high viscosity, making it a suitable heavy fuel oil used in large marine engines and power plants that require high levels of energy. Virgin Oil D6 is produced from the residue left over after the lighter hydrocarbons, such as gasoline and diesel fuel, are removed from crude oil. It is a heavy, black viscous liquid that is resistant to flow. The product has a high sulfur content, typically between 2.5% and 4%, and a calorific value of approximately 38 MJ/kg.

Naphtha

Supplier From Samarinda, East Kalimantan, Indonesia

Naphtha is a flammable liquid made from distilling petroleum. It looks like gasoline. Naphtha is used to dilute heavy oil to help move it through pipelines, to make high-octane gas, to make lighter fluid, and even to clean metal. It is a liquid petroleum product that boils from about 30°C (86°F) to approximately 200°C (392°F), although there are different grades of naphtha within this extensive boiling range that have different boiling ranges. The term petroleum solvent is often used synonymously with naphtha. On a chemical basis, naphtha is difficult to define precisely because it can contain varying amounts of its constituents (paraffins, naphthenes, aromatics, and olefins) in different proportions, in addition to the potential isomers of the paraffins that exist in the naphtha boiling range. Naphtha is also represented as having a boiling range and carbon number similar to those of gasoline a precursor to gasoline.
