Benefits of composted coir pith
The addition of composted coir dust improves soil texture, structure, and tilth, sandy soil becomes more compact, and clayey soil becomes more arable.
It improves the soil aggregation
It improves the water holding capacity (more than 5 times its dry weight) contributing towards increased soil moisture.
The bulk density of both the sub-surface (15-30 cm) soil is reduced to a considerable extent with the application of composted coir pith.
Composted coir dust contains all plant nutrient elements and it can provide a supplemental effect along with inorganic fertilizers.
There is an improvement in the cation exchange capacity of soils, where composted coir pith is applied.
Coir pith compost application increased the soil native microflora because of the addition of humic materials.
Ammonification, nitrification, and nitrogen fixation are increased due to improved microbiological activity.
Coco peat brick is also known as coir pith or coir dust, it’s made from coconut husks. Coco peat primarily consists of the coir fiber pith or coir dust which is obtained by processing coconut husk and removing the long fibers.
Planet Coco’s peat brick is low in EC and have very low salt content. Our Coco peat is aged and composted for over 18 months and thorough washed. Our one liter brick can be expanded up to 8 liters by adding 2 liters of water. 650 Bricks are a perfect size to handle and it’s the perfect size for home gardeners.
Usage
Environmentally-friendly & sustainable organic alternative to peat moss.
Used in greenhouses, vertical gardens, landscaping & grow bags.
Coco peat is a lightweight, organic material made from coconut husk pith after coir fibers are removed.
- Material: spongy
- Holds 8â??10 times its weight in water,
- Near-neutral pH (5.5â??6.8).
- Used: growing medium, soil amendment, or hydroponic substrate, excellent water retention, aeration, and biodegradability.
Shapes: compressed bricks, it expands when hydrated and is low in nutrients
The offered coco peat is washed, dried and compressed into 5 kg blocks. It serves as the ideal peat moss alternative in horticulture supplies. Washing controls the electrical conductivity of the block which is important for root and plant growth. We are coco peat block manufacturers offering blocks that can withstand high compaction. As an ideal soil conditioner and a growing medium, coco peat blocks once hydrated will expand to 15 litres per kg. Coco peat 5 kg blocks are 100% soilless growing medium. It can be used for soil conditioning as well as a mulching agent.

Introduction:
The coco peat is extracted from the shell of the coconut consisting of the coir fiber and the coir dust. These are natural material used for many purposes from agriculture and industry.
Advantages:
- Help improve the fallow conditions as well as the calluses from the soil
- Helps soil to retain more nutrients and retain moisture.
- Helps increase soil ventilation
-Furthermore, they will promote full root development and plant growth
- Contains natural organic matter and is good for soil and plants
- No harm to the environment.
----VIETNAM COCO PEAT MOSS---
Coconut peat is a multi-purpose development medium made from coconut husks. Coir shells are pre-washed, machine dried, sifted and free from sand and other contaminants such as animal and plant residues. Coconut peat is a very good alternative to traditional peat moss. The air is filled with porosity and high water holding capacity, making it an ideal growth medium for plants. It is 100% organic and environmentally friendly, free of pathogens and weeds. It has a pH of 5.8 - 6.8, EC level <1 mS / cm is ideal for plant growth.
