Is Copra a coconut?
Copra, dried sections of the meat of the coconut, the kernel of the fruit of the coconut palm (Cocos nucifera). Copra is valued for the coconut oil extracted from it and for the resulting residue, coconut-oil cake, which is used mostly for livestock feed.
Copra is a dried meat of Coconut. Mature coconut that has been cut into half and cleaned, are then put into the smoking chamber. After gouged out the meat, it will dried out again to reduce the water content to a maximum 6%.

Copra meal is produced from the ripe fruit of the coconut palm. The nut is split and the kernel is removed and dried below 6% moisture. This meal is called copra meal and still contains the oil. It is an excellent weight gain feed that can be used to boost any premix feed.
