The PRS-ZE0867 Conversion Frame is used to convert the IN-situ CBR test to a mechanical laboratory CBR test machine.

The system is easily assembled onto the conversion frame with the addition of some of the accessories included in PRS-ZE0865. The frame is used with the jack, load ring, CBR mould and penetration piston.

PRS-KA0580 Digital Point Load Tester

The PRS-KA0580 Digital Point Load Tester is used to determine the strength values of a rock specimen both in the field and in the laboratory.

It consists of a load frame for applying loads up to 56 KN, on which a manual hydraulic jack is mounted. The instrument accepts core specimens up to (101,6 mm) diameter which are loaded by two coneshaped points.
A graduated scale indicates the distance between the conical points.

The applied load is measured by a high precision electric load cell with a digital display unit range 0-56kN proving:

Screw jacks are used to lift any load, pull a mechanical part, adjust the working distances of machine parts and many other linear motion applications. Screw jacks are also known by names such as linear motor, linear actuator, mechanical jack.

The basic components of the screw jack are; worm screw, worm gear, screw that provides linear movement and jack body. The worm gear rotates when the worm screw is turned by motor or hand. With the rotation of the worm gear, the screw inside moves linearly up or down. If the screw end connection is connected to a free load, the screw rotates circularly and moves up and down. If it is connected to a fixed load, the jack receives the movement from the reducer gear inside and the Trapezoid screw moves linearly only up and down. In other words, it serves the same function as the wedge type. Thanks to this feature, there is no need to open a keyway for the Trapezoid screw. The progress speed of the screw depends on the turning speed, the number of teeth of the gears and the screw pitch size.

The PRS-AS0055 50 kN Capacity Automatic Marshall Stability Test Machine is used to determine the maximum load and flow values of bituminous mixtures.

The machine comprises of a robust and compact two column frame with adjustable upper cross beam. The unit is a bench mounted compression frame with motor and worm gear housed within the base unit. The mechanical jack raises the lower platen at a constant speed of 50.8 mm/min as required in the relevant standard. For safety, the up and down travel of the lower platen is limited the use of limit switches. Rapid adjustment of the platen is controlled using the up and down buttons on the front panel of the machine.

The measuring system consists of a 50 kN capacity strain gauge load cell fitted to the upper cross beam to read stability values, the 25 x 0.001 mm linear potentiometric displacement transducer fitted to the Breaking Head and two digital readout units (one for load and another for displacement)

The PRS-AS0056 Automatic Marshall Stability Machine is also suitable for testing 6â?� dia. specimens (152.4 mm) conforming to ASTM D5581.

The machine can be hand operated by a lateral hand wheel for calibration purposes; the hand wheel is supplied complete with the machine.
