Bicomponent fibers are defined as fibers produced by extruding two different polymers from the same spinneret, allowing both polymers to coexist within a single filament. This innovative structure provides unique properties that neither polymer could achieve on its own. A related term, "co-spun fiber," refers to filaments made from different polymers, with each filament containing only one component.
In some regions, particularly in Asia, the term "conjugate fibers" is used interchangeably with bicomponent fibers. The primary goal of creating bicomponent fibers is to harness the distinct capabilities of each polymer to enhance performance and functionality.
One notable example of bicomponent fibres is those constructed with a polyethylene sheath surrounding a polypropylene core. These fibers are crucial in the nonwoven fabric market, offering benefits such as improved durability, resilience, and thermal bonding properties.

Shrinkage Control: Our standard polyester staple fiber typically has a shrinkage rate of about 9%, with some exceeding 10%. However, we have developed critical technology to control shrinkage, allowing us to supply fibers with shrinkage rates of within 5% and within 4%. The shrinkage test is conducted at 180C for half an hour.

Quality Control Features:
Stable Quality: We use high-quality PET flakes sourced from clean drinking bottles. Our stock levels are maintained at 2000 MT, with a daily capacity of 100 MT, ensuring consistent quality across lots.
Nice Resilience: The resilience of PSF is enhanced by the raw material's viscosity (IV). We ensure that all materials have an IV value of over 0.72.
Effective Control on Fusion Points: We control PVC content to prevent fusion points, with strict limits of no more than 200 ppm. Our oven tests ensure compliance with these standards.
Bright Color: We only use raw materials with less than 1000 ppm yellow flakes to maintain the brightness of the final product.
Inspection: Functional polyester staple fiber can be produced according to customer requirements and has passed BS5852 and ASTM E2149-10 testing. Inspections before shipment are also available.

As substitute for existing chemical glue, LMF (Low melt fiber) is one kind of eco-friendly fiber which is developed by innovation.
LMF (Low melt fiber) is sheath/core structure PET/COPET, sheath is modified low-melting polyester (melting point 110â??) and core is general polyester.
