BMP-800 is mainly used as a humectant and is a great alternative to common glycols such as 1.3 butylene glycol, 1.2 propylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, sorbitol and glycerin. In addition, BMP-800 has a better antibacterial effect than other glycols, helping to dramatically reduce the use of typical preservatives in formulations.
In addition to humectant, BMP-800 is used as a emollient, preservative booster, emulsion stabilizer, disperser and solvent. And BMP-800 serves to provide a soft, non-stick feel and improve skin sensitization. Especially, when used with glycerin for cosmetic cream formulation, it can make up for a better feeling and moisture.
