Chrome Ore Concentrates are primarily used in the Metallurgical industry for smelting into ferrochrome,
the key alloy for stainless steel and specialty alloys. They are also applied in Foundries as mold and coating
sands due to their high heat resistance, in the Refractory industry for chrome-magnesite bricks that line
furnaces, kilns, and converters, and in the Chemical sector for producing sodium dichromate, chromic acid,
and chromium sulfate used in tanning and plating. Additional applications include the manufacture of
Pigments such as chromium oxide green for paints, plastics, ceramics, and coatings, use in Ceramics and
glass for glazes and heat-resistant coloration, and in Specialty alloys where hardness, wear resistance, and
corrosion resistance are required.
