The label (Waste Oil) covers a variety of industrial (water-in-oil) emulsions.
Waste Oil (or Slopoil) can be used motor oils (crankcase oils), tankbottoms at refineries or other storage facilities, contaminated fuel oils, waste from chemical factories and many more. These are all stable mixtures (emulsions) of oil and water, often containing also other impurities like sediments and insoluble salts.
Formulated from surface active compounds, wetting agents, wax dispersants and other additives, the OWT waste oil demulsifiers are often developed tailor-made to recover the maximum of oil and remove the maximum of water and solid impurities in the shortest feasible settling time.
Especially when a certain batch of such kind of waste has to be treated, we prefer that you send us a representative sample (approx. 3-5 ltrs) of this emulsion together with a description of the process conditions: treatment-temperature, settling or mechanical (centrifuge) separation process, etc.
In our laboratory we will then select the best cost-performing demulsifier to treat this particular batch, and advice you what goals are obtainable within the shortest possible time limit. This evaluation will be free of charge.
