IX Gaskets or IX Seal are exclusively designed to suit the seal requirement in Compact Flanged Connections.
IX Gaskets
The dimensions of IX seal are as per NORSOK L005 and material qualification is as per NORSOK M650 and NORSOK M630
IX seal comes with a PTFE/XYLON coating, the color of the coating identifies the material used to make the IX seal
IX seal numbers are from IX 15 to IX 1200
Other machined components are as seen in the picture, which is machined as per the customer provided drawings, this normally comes with a Silver Coating which is done in-house
A composite gasket that utilises a serrated metal core with a soft facing material
The metal core is machined on each contact face with concentric serrations, providing high pressure areas
This ensures the soft coating flows into any imperfections in the flange even at relatively low bolt loads
The soft facing material is engineered to compress into the serrations on the core and form a thin film across the peaks creating the ideal sealing density in the grooves of the profile
The result? You get a gasket that combines the benefits of soft cut materials with the advantages of seal integrity associated with metallic gaskets
Expanded graphite is the most common facing material used for Camprofile gaskets
However, other materials can also be used. For instance, PTFE for chemically aggressive duties and mica for high temperature services
Spiral Wound Gasket is formed of V-shaped metallic stripe and soft non-metallic filler by means of piled, spiral wound and connected its end and beginning by dot welded. Depend on its excellent compression resilience it is suitable for sealing spots where the alteration of temperature and pressure are frequent. It can be used as the static sealing element of pipe, valve, pump, thermal exchange, condensing tower, plain hole and man hole of flange, etc. It has been widely applied in the fields of petrochemical, mechanical manufactory, power station, metallurgy, shipbuilding, medical and pharmaceutical nuclear power station and navigation, etc.
