APPLICATION
Graphite electrode are used primarily in electric arc furnace steel manufacturing. It can provide high levels of electrical conductivity and capability of sustaining the extremely high levels of generated heat, and also used in the refinement of steel and similar smelting processes.

The electrodes are packed in wooden boxes and wooden frame bottoms, and the joint holes are protected by a foam cover and bundled with a packing steel strip.
The electrode joints are packed in cartons, foam boxes or packed in large wooden boxes and bundled with baled steel strips. When more than two electrode joints are installed in the same carton, the joints are separated by corrugated paper or foam plastic sheets.
When the electrode and the joint are integrally connected, the electrode joint hole and the joint are packaged with a foam cover, and then wrapped in a wooden box and a wooden frame, andBundled with baled steel strips.

The blue lanthanated electrodes are popular due to the relative ease of striking an arc and lower amperage required. They perform exceptionally well in both AC & DC applications, and are a popular general use electrode. Blue electrodes are effective for welding aluminum alloys, magnesium alloys, nickel alloys, copper alloys, titanium alloys, low-alloyed steels, and non-corroding steels.
Grey ceriated electrodes are popular due to their extreme ease of striking an arc with lower amperages, and their extraordinary performance with regard to DC welding applications. Operating instruction
1. Use special hoist tools to hoist graphite electrode. It is strictly forbad to prize electrode ends up with crowbar. It must be handled with great care during transport to avoid being struck.
2. Graphite electrode must be kept away from being moistened or wetted by rain, snow and water, and must be kept dry.
3. Carefully checking before making connection, make sure that socket and nipple thread is not damaged, nipple pitch plug is in.
4. Blow the nipple and socket threads with compressed air.
5. It must be dried in the furnace before use, the drying temperature in the furnace should be less than 150,the drying period should be more 30 hours
6. Graphite electrode must be connected and contacted closely and straightly.Use moment spanner for connecting electrode with suitable force. Mustnt decline.
7. The holding device must hold the electrode tightly, good contact and no arc.
8. To avoid the electrode breakage, put the large materials in lower part and small materials in the upper part. Insulating materials should not be put into the furnace. The working current of electrode must be conformity with the allowable current of electrode in the instructions.
