Primo Series Motors

Description :
PRIMO is a new series of induction motors from Kirloskar Electric India offering better performance, light in weight, low noise, aesthetically good and reliable.

Primo series motors are highly engineered to cope up with sudden load increase, longer thermal life, higher altitudes and voltage variations.

This motors are available from frame size PM63 to PM160 L. These motors are manufactured at Kirloskar Electric Hubli Works .

Motors are suitable for 415 volts +/- 10%, 50Hz +/- 5% combined variation +/- 10% , 500 C ambient, class F insulation, IP55 / IC411, temperature rise=70K.

YC series heavy-duty single-phase motors are suitable for powering small type machine tools and water pumps, specially for family workshops where only single-phase current supply is available. The designations, signs and nominal values are all in conformity with I. E. C. Standards.

YC series protected motors are of IP44 totally enclosed fan-cooling type. Rated output is 3Hp or below with capacitor starting. Under rated voltage and 50Hz, the starting torque is three times more than the rated torque and 60Hz is more than 2. 75 times. Motors for 4Hp over are of capacitor start and run type. They all concentrate the advantages of high starting torque, smooth running, low temperature rise, low noise and greater overload performance.

STRUCTURAL CHARACTERISTICS
Dynamically balanced MOTOR SHAFT with double-shielded life-lubricated bearings(working life more than 5,000 hours).
Open and self-ventilated induction MOTOR,designed for continuous duty.
-The stator pack in made of low-leakage magnetic laminations(2.63 Watt/kg).

-Stator windings are manufactured using wire with double class H insulation;heads carefully bound and shaped by pressure. Lmpregnation is done in a continuous cycle by PREHEATING-IMMERSION BAKING with extremely pure ideally-polyester resin, motors insulation is class B.
This gives a high quality winding with excellent insulation and heat transmission properties.
-The rotor is the squirrel-cage type.
-The capacitor is supplied as standard.
-Surface protection of the electric motor assembly is achieved by a complete treatment cycle, including rust-proofing,pickling,phosphatizing,passivation,two coat paint finish applied by and electrostatic process and oven baked.
