Two cups of dried hibiscus thoroughly rinsed

Ten to twelve cups of water

Mix the dried hibiscus flowers, sugar and four cups of water in a saucepan.
Bring to a boil and then let it simmer for about twenty minutes.
Remove from heat and let it cool to about room temperature.
Strain the flowers from the mixture.
Add the remaining cups of water
