Kaolin is White or light yellow powder, the main components is aluminum silicate (Al2O3,2SiO2,2H2O)
Physical properties of Kaolin: Mohs Scale Hardness is from 2 to 2.5,density is 2.6 g/cm3 ,and refractoriness is from 1750 to 1790 degree centigrade.Used as friction materials, Kaolin can improve the process performance of friction materials, reduce the shrinkage rate of products ,
and improve the friction performance of friction materials in 400-600 , reduce the cost. Kaolin is made by crushed kaolin ore .Kaolin is used in Brake pad Drum brake or clutch, The recommended regular consumption of kaolin is from 2% to 8%.
