We can supply Logs. Logs are classified in accordance to their grade, girth and length. Logs are measured in the Metric System and their volume calculated by the Geometric formula for the cylinder. Sales abroad obey to a minimum volume of 24m3, equivalent to a 40â?? container load. Sales inside the country start at 12m3, which is equivalent to a three axle truck load. To reduce freight costs some clients from abroad prefer to purchase roughly squared logs.
We have Boules also. Boule is a through and through sawn log. Boules are sold according to the volume of the original log.
Boules offer the following advantages towards logs:
They do not require large machinery to be converted into components.
Boules are shipped pre-dried, thereby offering timber of better quality, a substantial weight reduction and less drying time at destination.
