This Sharples Strain Viewer is already in worldwide use for the quality control of PET preforms.
The advantages of our PET preform Strain Viewer are : -
1. Crystallinity is readily identified.
2. Not only can the molecular birefringent flow lines (fringes) be seen in colour but the black isoclinic lines are visible when the preform axis are parallel to the polarising axis of the viewer. The isoclinic lines indicate the directions of the molecular orientational strains.
3. A special and removable stage is provided to rapidly obtain the correct alignments of the preforms when viewing.
For observations of the fringes the preforms are aligned at 45 degrees to
the polarising axis and at 0 degrees to view the black isoclinics.
The stage allows for the rotation of the preforms whilst viewing.
Sodium light is also provided, in addition to white light, for the examination of coloured preforms or completed bottles. The lamphouse is fan cooled.

The working space available on the Senarcom instrument allows a wide variety of products to be examined in polarized light.
Accurate assessment of stresses or strains in glass and plastics products is an essential requirement of the setting of standards for product manufacture and quality control.
The Sharples Senarcom Strain Viewer enables qualitative and quantitative assessments to be made of the stress and strain in transparent glass or plastic products. The stress or strain magnitudes in the component under examination can be accurately measured using the Senarmont method of compensation.
MAGNIFIER LENS
A magnifier lens of 1.5X can be swung into and out of the optical system to assist the operator when viewing small items.
SENARMONT METHOD
This stress/strain measuring technique is stepless in use and is therefore more user convenient than the application of standard strain discs. It is an objective method of strain measurement which will help to eliminate operator error in the assessment of strain magnitudes.
Illumination
Alternative sources of illumination are available with the Senarcom Strain Viewer. The instrument is supplied with white light for qualitative examination purposes and sodium monochromatic light for accurate quantitative measurements.

The meter is designed according to measuring (Buick method) of GB/T456-1989 paper and cardboard smoothness and it is applied to measure smoothness of paper and cardboard, but not proper to measure the sheet above 0.5mm or with freer air permeability.
The meter borrows high accuracy vacuum sensor to test the vacuum, replace the mercury compression, so it is the flatness meter with no mercury. The meter use German vacuum equipment to vacuumize the container in a short time, which is controlled by microprocessor. It has powerful data processing, not only can test a sample and automatically store the result, but also analyze group of specimens to show the average, maximum, minimum, standard drift and variation ratio. All the results can be stored and displayed by LCD. In addition, it can print out the data in the requirement of experiment report according to GB/T456-1989.

The tester is the basic instrument for testing the anti-bursting degree of paper and cardboard. It conforms to the standards of ISO2758 ,ISO2759 (standard testing for cardboard bursting strength) and GB1539 (method for testing cardboard bursting strength). It adopts signal transmitting press. When the specimen is burst, the tester stores the maximum of bursting strength automatically.
