Coco peat soil is made from the pith inside a coconut
husk. It is naturally anti-fungal, making it an excellent
choice to start seed but it is also used in rugs, ropes,
brushes, and as stuffing. Coco peat gardening is also used
as a soil amendment, potting mix, and in hydroponic
production.
Sri Lanka Coco Peat, also known as coir pith, is a natural and renewable resource derived from the husk of coconuts. It is a byproduct of the coconut industry, and is produced by crushing and processing coconut husks to extract the fibers. The remaining material, which is fibrous and spongy in texture, is then further processed to create Coco Peat.
Coco Peat is an ideal growing medium for plants, due to its excellent water retention and drainage properties. It is also a good source of nutrients, and provides aeration to the roots of plants. As a result, it is widely used in horticulture and agriculture, as well as in landscaping and as a soil conditioner.
