Coco Peat (Coir Pith) is obtained during the extraction of Coir Fibre from Coconut Husk, it is very light, highly compressible and highly hygroscopic.
Usually shipped in the form of compressed blocks, the end user usually expands and aerates the compressed Coco Peat by the addition of water. A single kilogram of Coco Peat will expand to 15 litres of Moist Coco Peat
Common uses of coco peat include:
Coir Peat Blocks is used as a Soil Conditioner, Surface Mulch/ Rooting Medium and Desiccant. Composted Coir Pith is an excellent organic manure for Indoor Plants as well as for Horticulture Crops
Mixed with sand, compost and fertilizer to make good quality potting soil. Coco Peat generally has an acidity in the range of pH - 5.5 to 6.5. It is a little on the acidic side for some plants, but many popular plants can tolerate this pH range.
As substrate for growing mushrooms, which thrive on the cellulose. Coco Peat has high cellulose and lignin content.
Being a good absorbent, Dry Coco Peat can be used as an Oil Absorbent on slippery floors. Coco Peat is also used as a bedding in animal farms and pet houses to absorb animal waste so the farm is kept clean and dry. This variety is commonly know has High EC coco peat.

The fibrous coconut husk is pre washed, machine dried, sieved and made free from sand and other contaminations such as animal and plant residue. Cocopeat is a very good alternative to traditional peat moss and Rock wool. Its air-filled porosity and high-water holding capacity makes it, an ideal growing medium for the plant crops. It is 100% organic and eco-friendly, free from soil borne pathogen and weed.
ADVANTAGES OF COCOPEAT
Eco-friendly and Sustainable growing medium
High moisture retention capacity
High cation exchange capacity
Improves soil aeration
Improves soil buffering capacity
Mostly tolerant to pH variations
Can buffer water soluble nutrients
COCOPEAT MANUFACTURING PROCESS
1. Coconut Husk Processing : Coconut husks are processed at our Coconut Fibre Mills to extract coir fibre, leaving behind the by-product a spongy material that binds the coconut fibre in the husk â?? the coco coir or the coco peat, the main raw material for the Coco Coir based Growing Medium.
2. Washing of Raw Cocopeat : Coir Pith is washed with fresh water to lower the electrical conductivity which is a measure of the salt content, so that plants roots can absorb water efficiently and effectively.
3. Drying of Washed Cocopeat : Wet Coir pith is then sun-dried in concrete yards to reduce the moisture content to the right value to achieve the required compaction.
4. Sorting : Dried Coir Pith are sorted based on their electrical conductivity and moisture level.
5. Sifting & Sieving : Sorted Coir Pith is sifted and sieved to remove the fine dust particles and extract the right sized grains as per the growing medium specification.
6. Compaction of Cocopeat : Substrate mixture is compacted in hydraulic presses to the required size as per clientâ??s requirement.
7. Pack & Dispatch : Packed as per the specifications (shrink wrapped with / without label or packed in cartons) and are then moved to our stock warehouse for palletising and shipment.
Coco Peat Briquettes are small sized coco peat blocks, available in three standard weights 650 gm, 500 gm & 250 gm, expanding when hydrated to yield a volume of about 3 to 10 litres. Unlike the regular 5 kg blocks, these briquettes are considerably small in size and weight. Consequently, they are much easier to handle and are ideal for use by home gardeners and hobby growers. Usually shrink-wrapped with label, these Coco Peat Briquettes are targeted for retail markets for sale in chain stores and garden centres.

Coconut Peat or Coco peat is an eco-friendly option that includes the fibrous material of coconut or coco
coir. It is a natural by-product of coconut farming. Coco peat will increase the porosity of the potting blend.
This facilitates to preserve the soil free and ethereal assisting in higher root boom. Better root boom
outcomes in higher plant boom and better yield. Coco peat will increase the water maintaining ability of the
potting blend even because it will increase the porosity of the soil.

This organic potting medium, which is manufactured from natural coconut husk fibers, is not only perfect for hydroponics and mixed media growing, but it also works wonders to improve the soil. Clay soils are loosened by it, and its great porosity promotes the growth of healthy roots. Its texture is delicate and fibrous, and when dried, it does not crust.
The coconut husk used to make the coir planks is a renewable resource and the entire product is organic. You can start planting right away because the material has already been pre-washed and pH-balanced. After watering, the fibrous material settles quickly and exhibits medium drainage properties. The medium is consistently quite light. Throughout cultivation, its structure maintains stability with little settling.

Coir propagation block is a culture media used in nurseries for plant propagation, the growth of flowers and vegetables, and the germination of 100% natural seeds. You can create air pockets in your growing media by adding coco fiber. Since the fiber isn't particularly absorbent, it aids in maintaining oxygen access to the roots of your plants. Our coir propagation blocks are made with utmost care while selecting raw materials since the Kalium level plays a significant role in the germination process.
For gardening, growing your plants from seed is a terrific method to cut costs. To get started, using coir discs for seed planting is a less complex method. Coir discs are a simple, quick, and clean method for seed germination. Coir discs for seed planting are more environment friendly than peat pellets. When replanting seedlings, it protects the plants from being shocked. It is also likely to achieve improved soil with a sandy texture or clay texture by adding coir discs to the garden, allowing plants to develop strong roots. Additionally, it will make it possible for plants to absorb extra nutrients while being fed and watered
Coconut husks are processed into tiny bits known as Coco Chips by cutting them apart. To adjust the growing medium and keep the correct air-to-moisture ratio for the roots of the plants, coco chips are added to potting soil or combined with coco peat. Additionally, it aids in the secondary roots zoneâ??s greater aeration. Coco Chips and Peat can be combined in various ratios to control the growing medium's moisture content and are often regarded by growers as the optimal growing medium.
