Red Globe Grape Qualities
Unlike the Sweet Globe, the Red Globe is a seeded grape and is red in color.
Appearance: Large bunch (often conical-pyramidal and winged). Very large berries (it is known for being one of the largest table grapes), round, and with a beautiful, deep red-purple color.
Seeds: It is a seeded variety (usually 3-4 per berry), a characteristic that has accelerated its decline in favor of seedless varieties.
Texture: Firm, fleshy, and crunchy pulp.
Flavor: Sweet, with a neutral and pleasant flavor. The sugar content (Brix) is generally lower than the Sweet Globe, typically between 13 and 16.
Hardy: It is particularly prized for its resistance to handling and long-distance transport, as well as its excellent shelf life in cold storage, making it ideal for export over long distances, such as from Peru.
