Product principle
The plate and shell heat exchanger adopts a circular corrugated heat exchanger plate that welded into a heat exchanger lathed bundle and combined with the structure of the pressure vessel shell. It also has a high heat transfer efficiency,compact structure and resistant to high temperature & pressure like shell tube heat exchanger. The plate and shell heat is durable under high temperature & pressure,large temperature difference and thermal shock, which is in a leading position in the industry.

Unique and durable lathed bundle structure: It can resist pressure shock and thermal shock very well; round plate and circular ring welding, stress distributes evenly; no welding between lathed bundle and shell, and it can withstand various thermal expansion (deformation ).The tubular shell structure is a strong, durable and safe pressure vessel; it can be installed in any position without being affected from outside; the solid protective shell will not leak or burst, and there is no danger of leakage to the environment.

Plate and Shell Heat Exchanger is designed as a performance upgrade over shell & tube heat exchanger and welded, brazed plate heat exchangers. This heat exchanger type supplies high thermal  performance with compact size, similar to that of gasketed plate heat exchangers, with low hold-up volume and low installed weight, especially when filled. Principle
A plate and frame heat exchanger as known as gasketed plate heat exchanger is a high efficiency heat exchanger that assembled from metal sheets with corrugated pattern and different kind of gaskets. Plate heat exchangers are the ideal equipment for heat exchange between liquid-liquid and liquid-vapor.In the case of the same pressure loss, the heat transfer coefficient is 3-5 times higher than that of the tube heat exchanger, but the floor space is one-third of the tube heat exchanger, and the heat recovery rate can be as high as 90% or more.

High heat transfer coefficient
The design of the plate corrugation is aimed at the high thermal conductivity. The special flow path are formed by the plate corrugation causing strong disturbance flow at a very low flow rate, which is called turbulent flow. And the disturbance flow can be self-cleaning to prevent fouling and thus the heat transfer efficiency is high.

The temperature difference at the end is small, and the plate heat exchanger is mostly a cocurrent or countercurrent type of flow. In addition,there's no bypass flow.
