The door interlocking system is used to control the entry of a person to a secure area such as a clean room, research lab, etc. where dust or small particles may be a problem or security is of high concern. In its simplest form, the door interlocking is composed of 2 doors that are electrically interlocked in such a way that the doors cannot be opened simultaneously. Another example of Door Interlocking is Man trap. The 2 Door Interlocking Terminal can handle up to 2 doors ( 4 IN/OUT switches ).The Pass-through authorization is validated by a switch or the DIT can operate in a switch-less mode. Spectra’s DIT200 from the Enclava series caters to this requirement of 2 Door Interlocking.
Features:
• Door Interlocking with Buzzer and Led indicator: Door Interlocking Terminal (DIT) controls interlocking of doors 2 doors using DOTL signals. For user interface there is one switch at entry and EXIT side of a door. Buzzer and LED indicators are used to provide users with visual feedback as to when a door may be accessed. For user convenience, a green light is typically used to signify that a door is ready for access and a red light to indicate that a door is un-accessible. (Additional capability providing Digital outputs which may be utilized for up to 4 more relays controlled by the DIT)
• Operations: Only one door may be unlocked or open at one time. Unlocking or opening one door automatically secures all other doors within the designated area. Lock relay contacts will allow low voltage red and green LEDs to be utilized for user feedback.
• Programmable: Door interlocking groups can be programmed for 2 doors. User can program interlocking groups through serial communication.
• Supports switch less operation: DIT can be used without switch in which led will indicates that user can open the door or not. Switch less operation is same as with switch except that all locks will remain open initially and will get closed if one of the doors of interlocking group is open.
