Description

Hammer crusher is a crushing equipment which utilizes impact energy to crush materials .

As a primary crusher, the hammer crusher could crush materials directly from maximum 600-1800mm to 25mm and below. It is suitable for crushing all materials of brittle, medium hardness, and compressive strength less than 150Mpa. So the hammer crusher is applicable to crush medium hardness materials in industries of beneficiation, cement, chemical, metallurgy, and so on, such as the secondary and fine crushing of limestone, coal, etc.

This equipment can be adjusted to reach various discharged granularity as the customers' requests.

Working Principle

Hammer crusher mainly consists of frame, rotor, trapezoidal iron plate, bar grate, etc. And the frame consists of the upper part and the lower part. The rotor consists of main shaft, disk,hinge pin and hammers .The bar grate is below the rotor.

The motor drives the rotor to rotate at a high speed. When the materials get into the crushing cavity, they are crushed by the rotating hammers, the crushed products which meet the required size can be discharged from the bar grate and become the final products, the products in larger size are brought back for re-crushing until they reach the required size.

Hammer mill crusher Operating Principle
The main working part of hammer crusher is rotors with hammer. The rotors consist of main shaft, disk, pin shaft and hammers. The motor drives the rotors to rotate quickly in the crushing cavity. Raw Materials enter the crusher through the feed opening and are stricken, impacted, cut and ground by the high-speed hammerto small size. There is a screening plate under the rotor, so that Materials with size smaller than the screen mesh will be screened out and others are left tobe further hammered and ground until reach the st and ard size. The size of the final product can be adjusted by changing the screening plate. The gap between therotors and the screening plate can also be adjusted according to different requirement.








Hammer Mill Design
The major components of hammer mill, shown in the picture, include: - a delivery device is used to introduce the material to be ground into the path of the hammers. A rotor comprised of a series of machined disks mounted on the horizontal shaft performs this task. - free-swinging hammer that is suspended from rods running parallel to the shaft and through the rotor disks. The hammer carries out the function of smashing the ingredients in order to reduce their particle size. - a perforated screen and either gravity- or air-assisted removal of ground product. Acts to screen the particle size of the hammer mill to ensure particles meet a specified maximum mesh size.

Feeder Design
Materials are introduced into the paths of the hammers by a variable speed vein feeder. This type of feeder can have its motor slaved by a programmable controller to the main drive motor of the hammer mill. The operational speed of the feeder is controlled to maintain optimum amperage loading of the main motor.

Screen Design
The amount of open area in hammer mills screen determines the particle size and grinding efficiency. The screen must be designed to maintain its integrity and provide the greatest amount of open area. Screen openings (holes) that are aligned in a 60-degree staggered pattern optimize open area while maintaining screen strength. This method will result in a 40 percent open area using 3.2 mm (1/8 inch) holes aligned on 4.8 mm (3/16 inch) centers.

Brief introduction and working principles:
The crusher/grinder is composed of feed hopper, upper and lower body, rotor, screen, fan, conveying pipe, etc. The user can equip the storage bag or bin according to their own needs.
