Plunger Rod

The plunger rod of the high-pressure infusion pump is the core component of infusion pumps in analytical equipment such as high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). It is mainly responsible for driving the intake and discharge of the mobile phase, and achieving high-pressure and constant-flow liquid transportation. � 

Structure and Materials � 
ï?¬White rod body: Usually made of ceramics (alumina/zirconia) or sapphire. These materials possess extremely high hardness, wear resistance, and chemical stability, enabling them to operate for a long time in high-pressure and highly corrosive flowing media environments. Moreover, their surface smoothness is extremely high, which can reduce wear against the sealing ring.
ï?¬Metal connection head: Generally made of 316L stainless steel, it is used to connect with the driving mechanism of the pump to transfer the power of reciprocating motion. It also has excellent mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.
