Decylene Glycol (1,2-Decanediol), is a multi-functional preservative with broad spectrum product protection and deodorant activity. It reduces the need for parabens, phenoxyethanol. Decylene glycol made by B&B, It acts as a conditioning, moisturizing, antimicrobial, anti-dandruff, anti-acne and antiperspirants/deo active. It exhibits excellent activity against acne causing P. acnes. Decylene glycol shows synergism with alpha hydroxy acids against P. acnes and reduces sebum content on acne skin. also have effect anti-dandruff, antiperspirants/deo active so it plays a role as a skin-conditioning in hair-care. It further shows significant impact on viscosity enhancement of the formulation like foam and viscosity and reduces the irritation potential and enhances the efficacy of other preservatives
