Attapulgite is advantageously used for the purification of petroleum distillates such as kerosene due to their special characteristics. Fine grade of our fibrous Attapugite products are able to eliminate water traces, suspended impurities, resinous or asphaltic substances, residues of metals (arsenic, lead, vanadium and others), nitrogen compounds, oxygenated compounds, some sulphur compounds and even adsorb preferentially some hydrocarbons (olefins).

Attapulgite is finely controlled particles size distribution with maximum adsorbent capacity. Finely powdered attagel is used as thickner and rheological modifier in many applications such as paint and coatings. Attapulgite is natural bleaching earth used to purify the edible oil such as palm and soya oils. Natural desiccant having capacity to adsorb moisture in petrochemical streams such as Kerosene and Aviation fuels.

Attapulgite clay is a mixture of clay and non-clay minerals with its primary clay mineral being Palygorskite, a hydrous magnesium aluminosilicate.

Palygorskite or attapulgite is a magnesium aluminium phyllosilicate with the chemical formula (Mg,Al) 2Si 4O 10(OH)�·4(H 2O) that occurs in a type of clay soil common to the Southeastern United States.

Attapulgite is a rare magnesium aluminosilicate mineral with a very high water absorption capacity. This makes it ideal for treating and preventing diarrhoea in humans and animals. Trials in animals also showed that digestive function is improved

Attapulgite suspension agent is a thixotropic anti-sinking thickener, which is made of natural rare minerals processed by high-tech special technology, and its main composition is crystalline magnesium aluminum silicate hydrate. It has good anti-sinking and thickening effect in both water-based and solvent-based systems.

Application areas:

High-grade putty, paint, ink, liquid fertilizer, pesticide, lubricating oil, fine chemical, printing and dyeing paste, etc.

1. Good thickening. The paint film is plump and the can opening effect is good.

2. Good suspensibility. Prevent paints and paints from precipitation and delamination

3. Good shakiness. It is easy to brush, thinning under the action of shear force and thickening after rest.

As the suspension agent and carrier of pesticides, attapulgite is widely used in pesticides, fungicides, herbicides and so on because of its high oil absorption rate and moderate pH. It can prolong the efficacy, prolong the shelf life and reduce the production cost of pesticides.

With the advantage of light weight, high permeability, high durability and excellent sound and thermal insulating properties, expanded clay is a good 'all round' aggregate for use in an a variety of applications. It is also an environmentally friendly product composed mostly of naturally occurring clay, is not susceptible to chemical attack, rot or frost and has a long life span. The lightweight nature of the expanded clay pellet make it an ideal solution when constructing over weak soil deposits or reducing the load behind old and susceptible structure. The air pockets within the pellet provide excellent thermal resistance when used as underfloor insulation within solid floor construction.
