What is a plate heat exchanger?
Plate heat exchanger is a new type of high efficiency heat exchanger composed of a series of corrugated metal sheets. Thin rectangular channels are formed between various plates through which heat is exchanged. Plate heat exchanger is an ideal equipment for liquid - liquid and liquid - steam heat exchange.
Plate material: 304, 316,316L, titanium etc
Thickness of plate:0.4mm-0.8mm
Sealing ring material : nitrile rubber (NBR), EPDM, fluorine rubber.
Overall heat transfer coefficient:3500-7500W/m�²�·K
Advantages:
1.Heat transfer conditions:It is especially suitable for liquid-liquid heat exchange with large flow and small temperature difference.
2.Thorough cleaning:All can be disassembled for thorough cleaning.
3.Easy to change the heat exchange area or process combination: By increasing or reducing a few plates, the heat transfer area can be increased or reduced.
By changing the plate arrangement or replacing several plates, the required flow combination can be achieved to adapt to the new heat transfer conditions.
4.Small in size :Compact and lightweight structure, small footprint, the floor space is one-third of the tube heat exchanger.
5.Light weight:The plate thickness of the plate heat exchanger is only 0.4~0.8mm, while the thickness of the heat exchange tube of the shell-and-tube heat exchanger is 2.0~2.5mm. The shell-and-tube shell is much heavier than the frame of the plate heat exchanger .The plate heat exchanger is generally only about 1/5 of the weight of the shell-and-tube type.
6.Low price: Using the same material, under the same heat exchange area, the price of the plate heat exchanger is about 40%-60% lower than that of the shell-and-tube type.� 
7.High heat exchange efficiency :The heat transfer coefficient is 3-5 times higher than that of the tube heat exchanger
8.Low heat loss: The heat recovery rate can be as high as 90% or more.
9.The logarithmic mean temperature difference is large, and end temperature difference is small.
