Anchor Handling Towing Winch is often used for anchor handling tug supply vessels (AHTS). TUF normally designs it in accordance with vessel calculated bolllard pull.
This winch is normally with double or triple drum. For triple drum, TUF can design in a way that any two drums can be operated simultaneously at half load or any one single drum at full load in accordance with customer requirements. Chain lifters are mounted on the outer drums.
The capacity for electric powered type can be up to 2000KN while for diesel and hydraulic driven type can be up to 5000KN.
