Papua New Guinea (PNG) origin Tahitensis vanilla beans have warm and sweet with a smooth flavor. It has typically fatter and flatter pods. Their maximum long cannot be longer than planifolia, it's maximun can be 19 cm, but the average size of Tahiti pods is around 13-17 cm.
The pods are plump with:
- moisture content 28-33%
- vanillin content 2% up
- no split and no mold
- oily black color
- size 10 cm - 21 cm up (6-8 inches)
