Etp (Electrolytic Tinplate)

Tin Free Steel is also called Chromium Coated Steel or TFS. TFS is an electrolytic chrome plated steel consisting of a thin layer of chromium and a layer of chromium oxide deposited on the steel base. TFS has a very beautiful metallic chrome luster, excellent paint adhesion, excellent heat resistance, excellent filiform rust resistance, excellent sulphide resistance property and alkali resistance property. But the weldability and formability of TFS is not as good as ETP. And TFS is not compatible with soldering,

TFS is often used in the manufacture of two-piece cans, shallow-drawn cans, crown caps, screw caps, can tops, all kinds of easy open ends (EOE), food package bottoms, lug caps, electronic accessories and cables, etc.

We can provide TFS with various specifications with temper ranging from T1 to T5 and DR7M to DR10. The ID of the TFS's packaging coil has 420mm and 508mm in options.

Electrolytic Tinplate is a thin cold rolled steel sheet coated by tin. Itâ??s also called ETP or Tinplate. The tinplate has excellent corrosion resistance, excellent paintability and printability, excellent solderability and weldability, also excellent formability and certain strength and hardness. The surface of the tinplate is bright and beautiful. The tin layer is non-toxic and tasteless, it can prevent the iron on the original steel plate from being dissolved into the package. Depends on the purpose of use, various of pictures can be printed on the surface of the tinplate to beautify the goods.

The tinplate is widely used in the manufacturer of three-piece cans, two-piece cans, chemical barrels, aerosol cans, all kinds of fancy cans, crown caps, beer caps, food package bottom caps, easy open ends (EOE), electronic accessories, cables and battery iron, etc.

Tinning is the process of thinly coating sheets of wrought iron or steel with tin, and the resulting product is known as tinplate. The majority of applications for Tinplate(ETP) are used by the container industry in the manufacturing of cans, ends and closures for the food and beverage industry.
