Mode of Action :
Bacillus thuringiensis (or Bt) is a common gram positive, spore-forming, soil bacterium. When resources are limited, vegetative Bt cells undergo sporulation, synthesizing a protein crystal during spore formation. Proteins in these crystals are called Cry (from Crystal) endotoxins and have been known for decades to display insecticidal activity against specific insect groups. Even though Cry toxins have been extensively used commercially, the specifics of their mode of action are still controversial. This multi-step toxicity process (see Figure below) includes ingestion of the Cry protein by a susceptible insect, solubilization, and procesing from a protoxin to an activated toxin core in the insect digestive fluid. The toxin core travels across the peritrophic matrix and binds to specific receptors called cadherins on the brush border membrane of the gut cells. Toxin binding to cadherin proteins results in activation of an oncotic cell death pathway and/or formation of toxin oligomers that bind to GPI-anchored proteins and concentrate on regions of the cell membrane called lipid rafts. Accumulation of toxin oligomers results in toxin insertion in the membrane, pore formation, osmotic cell shock, and ultimately insect death.

Method of Application and Dosage :

Foliar Spray: Take 5 to 10 gm. MAHASTRA per ltr of water. Spray with high volume knepsek sprayer or power sprayer at the appearance of insect pests mainly DBM (Diamond Bag Moth) & Helicoverpa in Tomato & Cotton

Repeat the Foliar Spray at 10 times intervals

Pentazole, a fungicide, is currently the most active triazocyclic fungicide and an inhibitor of sterol demethylation. It is absorbed through the active tissues of crops such as roots, stems and leaves, and can be quickly conducted upward in the plant body along with the body fluids. Mode of action: Systemic bactericidal, with therapeutic, protective and eradicating effects. It is used as a growth regulator for azole plants and an endogenous inhibitor of gibberellin biosynthesis. It has the functions of hindering plant growth and shortening the pitch. If used in rice, it can enhance the activity of indoleacetic acid oxidase in rice, reduce the level of endogenous IAA in rice seedlings, significantly control the growth rate at the top of rice seedlings, promote leaf division, make the leaf color dark green, develop the root system, reduce lodging, and increase panicles and yield. The general growth control rate reaches 30%, and the leaf promotion rate is 50% to 100%. The production increase rate reached 35%. It can be used for fruit trees such as peaches, pears, citrus fruits and apples to "control the growth of new shoots and prevent them from being trapped", making the tree shape shorter. Chrysanthemums, geraniums, poincias and some ornamental shrubs treated with paclobutrazol have their plant shapes adjusted, making them more ornamental. The effect of cultivating strong seedlings of greenhouse vegetables such as tomatoes and rape is obvious. When cultivating strong seedlings of late rice, during the stage of one leaf and one heart, drain the water in the seedling field and evenly spray 15kg/100m of 100-300mg /L paclobutrazol solution. To control the excessive growth of mechanical transplanting rice seedlings, soak 100kg of rice seeds in 150kg of 100mg/L paclobutrazol solution for 36 hours, then germinate and sow. The seedlings should be 35 days old and the height should not exceed 25cm. It is used for controlling the shoots and protecting the fruits of fruit trees. Generally, in late autumn or spring, 500mL of 300mg/L paclobutrazol solution is injected into each fruit tree, or evenly watered 5 to 10cm from the surface of the soil along half of the tree crown radius, using about 98g of 15% wettable powder per 100m2. Using 1.2 to 1.8g of the active ingredient per 100m of paclobutrazol can shorten the basal internodes of winter wheat and strengthen the stems. Paclobutrazol also has preventive and therapeutic effects on rice blast, red rot of cotton, black smut of grains, rust and powdery mildew of wheat and other crops, and can be used as a fruit preservative. In addition, within a certain dosage, it also has an inhibitory effect on some monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds.
