Australian firewood is a hardwood which is denser than softwood, so it gives off more energy.

High Density
Australian firewood is denser and heavier wood than others and contains more heat per volume, burn longer, burn slower, more steadily, and thus provide warmth for longer.

Ignition
Australian firewood can be easily lit because it is very dry wood. The drier the wood the easier it is to ignite.

Moisture content
Australian firewood has been dried to 10-20% moisture content to ensure that it burns well, produces more heat and creates less smoke and creosote.

Smoke
Australian firewood gives off little smoke, it's important that you consider whether the firewood you choose will smoke heavily or not when it's burned.

Sparks
Australian firewood is very dry, if wood isnot completely dry, it will spark when it burns
