Coco Peat

Coco Peat is renewable, biodegradable, and can be used as a sustainable alternative to peat
moss, which is often harvested from non-renewable sources. It also has a lower carbon
footprint than other growing media, as it is produced using a waste product that would
otherwise go to landfill.

â?? Seed starting: Coco peat is a great option for starting seeds. It provides a suitable
environment for germination and seedling growth, and it is free of weed seeds and
pathogens.
â?? Potting mix: Coco peat can be used as a component in potting mixes. It helps to
improve soil structure, drainage, and aeration, and it can hold nutrients and moisture,
promoting healthy plant growth.
â?? Hydroponics: Coco peat is an excellent substrate for hydroponic systems. It can hold
water and nutrients and provides a stable rooting environment for plants grown
without soil.
â?? Mulch: Coco peat can be used as a mulch around plants to help retain soil moisture
and suppress weed growth.
Coco peat is also highly absorbent and can be used to absorb oils and liquids in industrial
settings, such as on roads or in factories. It is a popular choice among horseback riding clubs
and animal farms for its ability to absorb urine and animal residue, promoting a cleaner and
healthier environment for the animals.
